A Disabled motorcycle touring holiday in France is now possible using our accessible apartments as your base.
Do you run or are you a member of a disabled motorcycle club?
I would like our holiday apartments in Brittany to play host to some of the many large groups of motorcycles I see touring France during the summer months.
Having spent many years in the UK custom car and drag racing scene I am a veteran of the party season that takes place during the nice weather. Santapod, Long marsden, The Bulldog Bash, Bug jams, The Nationals, Hayling Island, fun runs..... the list is endless.
Skip forward a few years and here I am, In France. We provide accessible holidays for disabled people now. Business is good but I cant help thinking that our site would be ideal for a disabled biker club run.
-
We have six , two bedroomed apartments, all in the same building.
-
One double and two single beds per apartment.
-
Each apartment also has a huge double sofa bed (see photos) taking the grand total to 36 beds in the building.
-
Secure, lockable off-road parking for a huge number of cars/bikes.
-
Minibus available for those essential trips to the pub/shops.
-
Repair facilities available in my workshop including welding.
Obviously I would give a healthy discount to any groups wishing to book more than one (or indeed all) of the apartments.
You dont need to be disabled to use this venue but of course, but if you have any disabled members in your group they will be very well catered for with the facilities explained elsewhere on this site.
My long term aim is to get annual events going although one-off events are just as welcome. Brittany is very popular with touring bikes from all Europe and our local club run which happens a couple of times a year has over 200 bikes and support vehicles!!
As a biker myself I cannot praise the french road system enough.
-
Very light traffic compaired to the UK (or anywhere for that matter).
-
Stunning coastal roads with veiws that will blow you away.
-
Static speed cameras are very well marked, only on motorways and very few and far between.
-
Roving handheld cameras are rare and mostly ineffective as the French FLASH furiously at any traffic heading towards one. If a Frenchman flashes you he is not saying 'hello', he is saying 'police speed camera' slow down!
-
Thousands of beaches to choose from, deserted? packed? whatever you fancy.
-
Security? car and bike theft in France is very rare. I have been here over four years and don't know of any thefts at all.
